We are building a map-based decision tool for professional fishing vessels where reliability at sea is critical.
In this role you will:
Build and ship features frequently – working closely with users who are actually at sea.
Work with GIS, map layers, routes and data from many sources (AIS, weather, ocean data, catch).
Handle large data volumes and optimise for unstable and low-bandwidth connections.
Help turn complex analysis into simple, useful tools for skippers on the bridge.
We believe you:
Have solid experience as a full-stack engineer (typically TypeScript/React + Node/Python or a similar web stack).
Have worked with, or are motivated to work with, geospatial data/GIS (e.g. PostGIS, tile services, mapping libraries).
Are comfortable with cloud services and databases, and like owning things from idea to production.
Enjoy small teams, taking responsibility and seeing your work used in the real world.
Who you are
Most of all, you:
Are proactive, independent and like responsibility.
Want to build something meaningful over time, not just have "another job".
Enjoy working in a small, ambitious team where decisions are made close to the product and customers.
